At Highmoor Nursery School, we also provide additional activities in order to support the curriculum and the EYFS. These extra-curricular activities are run in-house, or by specialists that provide a professional service specifically tailored for our Nursery's current themes and topics, as well as the children as individuals.

Outdoor Adventures with Sam (Mini Trailblazers)

Sam of Mini Trailblazers run sessions designed to improve the athletic capabilities of young children for all sports. This is done by creating a safe and imaginative environment by leading the children on various adventures which engage and excite them about sport and physical activities. Sam's website is currently under construction, a link will be available shortly. If any questions about Mini Trailblazers, please do not hesitate to contact us.

French with Madame Chadwick (La Jolie Ronde)

This is a unique programme developed specifically for the nursery age group, based around 2 fun characters: Matou and Tounette.

Madame Chadwick teaches in small groups & short sessions so that the children have the opportunity to have fun whilst learning through songs, puppets, finger rhymes, games and crafts. Please see La Jolie Ronde's website for more information, or you can visit Jayne Chadwick's Tutor Profile here.

Karate with Theresa (Tiny Tigers)

Tiny Tigers Karate sessions introduce basic martial arts skills and exercises, encouraging more refined gross and fine motor skills. The session involves a continuous curriculum including fun games and memorable activities, as well as learning some new words in Japanese, such as numbers, "Yame" (stop), "Sensei" (teacher) and "Rei" (bow).
